Setting up your Vizio Smart TV is a straightforward process. Follow the steps below to go from unboxing to streaming in just a few minutes. The activation step at vizio.com/setup is the key moment that links your TV to your Vizio account and unlocks the full SmartCast experience.

Power On Your Vizio TV

Plug in your Vizio Smart TV, connect the power cable, and press the power button on the remote or the side of the TV. The setup wizard launches automatically on first boot.

Connect to WiFi and Follow the Setup Wizard

The on-screen setup wizard guides you through selecting your language, region, and network. Choose your home WiFi network from the list, enter your password, and confirm the connection before moving on.

Visit vizio.com/setup on Your Phone or Computer

On any smartphone, tablet, or computer, open a browser and navigate to vizio.com/setup. Sign in to your existing Vizio account or create a free account — it only takes a moment.

Enter Your 6-Digit PIN to Complete Activation

Your Vizio TV displays a unique 6-digit PIN on the screen during setup. Type that PIN into the field at vizio.com/setup and click Continue. Your TV is now activated, registered, and ready to stream.
Have your 6-digit PIN ready. It appears on your TV screen during initial setup and is required to complete activation at vizio.com/setup. The PIN expires after a short window, so keep your phone or computer nearby when you power on the TV for the first time.
